Humsafar’s Naveen Waqar tied a knot with actor turned directorAzfar Ali on August 23, 2012. This news was certainly surprising if not shocking for Naveen Waqar’s fans. Azfar Ali was already happily married to actress Salma Hassan for more than ten years now and has two children with her. It is not confirmed yet, but it was reported that Azfar divorced Salma around two months back before marrying TV drama Hamsafar’s leading actress Navin Waqar. She is also playing one of the main roles in currently on-air Geo TV’s drama ‘Annie Ki Ayegi Baraat’.

Naveen Waqar was a successful RJ (aka VJ Fuse) before becoming a star in Hum TV’s ‘Humsafar’. She acted with emergingMahira Khan and Fawad Afzal Khan in the play. The cast of the drama also included Atiqa Odho and Hina Khawaja Bayat. The play got hugely popular and brought fame for not only to Naveen but also for Mahira Khan and Fawad Afzal Khan. Ironically, in the play she played a role of a agonistic girl, Sara Ajmal, who was obsessed with her cousin Asher Hussain (Fawad) who later got married to his poor middle class relative Khirad Ihsan (Mahira). Now on social media, fans and supports of Salma Hassan are accusing Naveen Waqar for breaking the marriage of Salma and Azfar Ali.

Fact of the matter is that people get divorced for various reasons and celebrities are not any different from anyone else.
