Top 10 Things to do On a Sunny Day
Every morning when you get up and look at your face in the mirror, you know that you are missing something. Whether it is the languid laziness of childhood wandering or drawing rabbits by tracing clouds with finger or chasing after those squeamishly creepy-crawly bugs to their quarters.
There is no denying that life is monotonous, but a day off in the pursuit of happiness, doing utterly fecund activities, under the bright umbrella of the sunny summer day is something we all desire. Here are some tips to feel those crazy rushes again.
1. To lie under the sun like a cat
For those who know how it is like to live in a tropical weather, exposing themselves to the sun is a dreading idea. But the busy lives that we live trapped in the boxed cabins of our air-conditioned chambers are most unhealthy of all. Let the sun shine on your skin. Let it breathe. Take out your fancy hat and a mat. Lie lazily like a cat stretching arms across the world. Soak a towel in the bucket full of water. Gently wipe your skin and let the vitamin D sweep into your porous skin. Return to your office with a glee of your newly acquired tan.
2. Walking with Gelato
Are you among those who eat as little as birds? Are you always conscious of your weight? Eat gelato. I know how you had have flinched every time you pass by a gelato counter worrying about calories. But it is a sunny day. Let the flavors and the textures melt into your mouth when you walk and sweat under the sun. Either you take a road less traveled or a path with buzzing fashionable showrooms. Sweat and eat are the new crazy way to balance your weights yin yang.
3. Fly a kite
Yes it is absurd like madness. I suggest that one should wear good sunglasses before attempting such bizarre activity. Wait with a tumbler full of lemonade and let the cottony clouds bury the sun. Unroll your string and let the kite soar high. When the sun is resurrected from the clouds try to gaze at the kite with blinking eyes. P.s- Find an equally crazy friend who is ready to get as wasted as you.
4. Take pictures
What is so new about it? Use different shutter speeds, different gauge of zooming and click randomly everything. Don’t worry about principles of photography. Take pictures of a cow or a bug, a tree or a tramp lying on the roadside and anything or everything. The bright sun can do wonders and you can notice how observant you have become of your surroundings.
5. Dig treasure soil
Fantasize your own Treasure Island in the backyard of your haywire kitchen garden. Wear pirate patch on your right eye and think something foolishly crooked. Get dirty, get muddy and walk all over the house with soiled footprints.
6. Travel in a bus all over the city
Load your iPod with heavy metal, fusion and Jazz. Board the bus which has a lengthy route across the city. Be an overexcited child and fight your way to the perfect window seat. Roll your music and relax.
7. Write a poem
Drag your great grandfather’s oak wood arm chair in the balcony. Place yourself on it and compose a wonderful poem of ticklish rhythm. You can either use John Donne’s style of metaphysical comparisons or a ballad of your foolish trickery.
8. Write a Love song
Go to a park, sit and wring under an umbrella. Carefully take out your notepad and considering your situational discomfort and sweat, write a love song. Woo your beloved with your song and earnest attempt to show your devotion.
9. Let the water turn into vapor
Fill a beaker with streaming tap water to the brim. Place it outside directly under the sun. And with the help of a bold red marker keep a record of the level of depletion in the water content after every hour. When you get bored you can always make paper boats and float them on your experiment.
10. Wear a chicken suit
Clothe yourself in a chicken dress and visit your irritating snobbish cousin’s house to get some eggs for your lunch. The yellow chicken costume will shine bright on a sunny day. Be punk, be flamboyant and be uselessly crazy.
