The bizarre beauty secrets of Miss America contestants
In the lead up to the Miss America contest on Saturday, its contestants have revealed some of their most prized, and bizarre, beauty secrets.
From duct tape to help their bodies 'lift and support,' to scotch tape as eye make-up remover, 53 beauty queens will be pulling out their biggest beauty weapons when they compete for the crown in Las Vegas.
Kaitlin Gates, Miss West Virgina, admitted to Live Well Network's Miss America: Secret's Revealed, that her trick to 'pull up your behind, to make you look like you have a really nice tush, even if you don't,' is something she calls 'butt glue.'

'There's a way to tuck in your bathing suit so everything's all nice and firm,' she said. 'It's an art.'

'During competition we have some lifting and supporting we need some help with, and [duct tape] gets the job done.'
And Aniska Tonge, Miss Virgin islands, explained how she gets perfectly-placed pageant hair.
'M secret for hair is Flexi Rods,' she said.
'When you use curling irons, it might not always curl your hair, so what you do is wet your hair in the night, curl in your Flexi Rods, real tight, wake up the next morning and shake it out Baywatch style. And it's perfect.'
Live Well Network's special series Miss America: Secret's Revealed, premieres on January 7 at 8pm.
