Samsung Galaxy S 4 vs. Apple iPhone 5
HTC claims they are glad that Samsung didn’t spend any attention to innovating the design of theirGalaxy S4. While we are not enthusiastic they didn’t, we do wonder what Samsung was thinking. At any rate two of Androids biggest kings have come head to head with their new flagship devices. Which is the king and which is the whimp? There’s only one way to find out, below is the Samsung Galaxy S4 vs HTC One comparison.
Screen
The Samsung Galaxy S 4 has a 5-inch screen which improves on the size of the previous generation Galaxy S device by 0.3-inches. The panel now boasts 1080 x 1920 pixels on a Super AMOLED display which boasts 441ppi and Gorilla Glass 3.
HTC has equipped the HTC One with a 4.7-inch screen that boasts 1080 x 1920 pixels on an S-LCD 3 screen which puts the pixel density at 468ppi featuring Gorilla Glass 3.

Processor
Samsung’s Galaxy S 4 boasts a Exynos 5 Octo processor that contains either 4 or 8 cores depending on region. Said chip is paired with PowerVR graphics and 2GB of RAM as well as 16GB of internal storage and a microSDXC expansion slot.
HTC’s One comes with a quad-core 1.7GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 processor paired with Adreno 320 GPU, 2GB of RAM, 32GB of internal storage (26GB user accessible) and no expansion card slot.

Camera
On the camera front, Samsung and HTC has taken very different directions. Samsung has equipped the Galaxy S 4 with a 13 megapixel camera and LED flash. HTC has dropped the megapixel count to 4 with LED flash, f/2.0 aperture and 28mm focal length. HTC’s reasoning is that less megapixels mean better low light performance, which is true. However what the company forgot to take note of is that while grain is reduced in low light, your images have a lot less detail when magnified.
The Galaxy S4 has a 2 megapixel front facing camera and the HTC One has a 2.1 megapixel camera. Both phones will shoot full 1080p video content from both the rear and front facing cameras.

Software
Both phones feature Android Jellybean though HTC has updated Sense UI to version 5. Samsung is still on touchWiz and overall we are not fans of touchWiz as it does not look as refined as Sense UI. That said, stock Android is as beautiful as ever so both phones take away ever so slightly from a rich unadulterated Android experience.
Summery
On a specifications analysis alone, both phones are head to head, and while that is only part of the picture, in the Android world, that is a huge deal. HTC seems to be heading in the right direction design wise as the One is a sexy slab of goodness. The Galaxy S4 is great on the inside, but appears to be lacking in terms of looks. In the end, both phones have their short comings but based on performance alone, Samsung seems to have nailed it with the Galaxy S4.
So what do you think after reading the difference between Samsung Galaxy S4 and HTC One, Which one is better?
